Gentlemen:
I am working on installing my Skyshop purchased electric flap actuator in
my CH701. It will not fit, and without sending it back, neither Danny nor
I can figure out where the problem lies. Here are the details:
When my 7C3-1 Flaperon Control Mount is in the neutral position (50mm
from baggage compartment floor to the centerline of top tubes), the flap
actuator is too large to fit between the bottom channel (7F10-1) and the
mounting hole on the Flaperon Control Mount.
Measurements:
Between the bottom aft corner of the bottom channel to the mounting hole
on Flaperon Control Mount, 175mm.
Total length of extended actuator, from bottom aft corner of mounting
bracket to center of mounting hole in extended actuator rod, 214mm.
I will attach a picture showing measurements of my actuator.
Unless I am brain dead, the total length of the extended actuator needs
to be roughly 175mm to match the mounting hole in the bottom of the
Flaperon Control Mount when the Control Mount is in the neutral position.
So, either my actuator, which looks exactly like the one shown on
Skyshop's site, is a different size or the distance between the bottom
gear channel and the flaperon control mount on my plane is different for
some reason. Danny told me to send it back so that he can ensure it is
the correct one, which I will do if I have to, but I am hoping someone on
the list has the Skyshop electric flaps installed and is willing to open
the bottom panel and get some measurements for me.
On an entirely different note, I receive the daily digest version of the
Zenith list, which does not contain any attachments. I like the digest
version, but miss not seeing any images. Is there any way to change this
so that I can receive images with the digest version? Or is there a way
to access them somehow on the list elsewhere?

present problems.
