A Cessna 150 crashed this weekend just north of Danville. New pilot and his wife off a small field (no weather) VFR into IMC. He was up from Georgia. It was his first long cross country. The airplane broke apart before impact (lost the wings). Thought it wouldn’t hurt to remind everyone to have a plan on what to do it this happens to you. It can happen fast in an RV with our high rates of climb. The whiteout can be sudden. (Ask me how I know!) A little hood work occasionally can make a real difference.

That was Monday when all our guys used good judgement
and Drove home from mtns. Wayne is right, a little
hood time benefits us all, though a 180 is called for
many times...Reno.
