|
|
Jason Cantrell in Mississippi has a pretty good
solution. He installed a strip of thin nylon similar
to the one used at the front of the canopy hinge. He
installed this on the canopy frame inside flashing
right where it contacts the panel side.
Jason's airplane is the finest example of a finished
601XL I've seen. I had the pleasure of flying in his
airplane and it was a real thrill.
I'm attaching a photo I took of Jason and his 601XL.
You can see the nylon piece if you look closely.
There are three rivets holding it in place in the
front of the canopy frame arm.

So... does anybody have a suggestion for what to do
with
the inside flashing in front of the fwd tube frame.
