Yahoo mail also presents a thumbnail, like Gmail - but in a dumb way: first, the image file is
downloaded to the user's PC; only then it gets reduced in size (actually, by the browser).
So Yahoo isn't a solution for people with dial up.
Also, many ISPs allow you to get your email with a browser (MS IE, Firefox, etc.).
This may be a good alternative.
