Sorry for the off topic question, but I figured some of you might be able to direct me on this issue. I'm considering buying a plane and leasing it back to a flight school, and want to know (1) if anyone has ever been through this process before, and if so, can it be profitable or at least a break-even, or (2) is there some other aviation discussion forum where this question would be better posted? I'm thinking about maybe a C-172 or similar, where I can have a 4-seater at my disposal when I need it, yet have it rented when I'm not using it (which would be most of the time). Are you an AOPA member?  Lots of leaseback info on first glance.  I'm not familiar with the process, so can't comment.  However a quick search of "leaseback" returned 88 results.
