Our annual chapter BBQ is fast approaching. As mentioned in the newsletter, on the date of our next scheduled practice -- October 7th, 2006 -- we will meet at Big T in Senoia for food, fellowship, and flying, though not necessarily in that order. Mark Sorensen and Butch Walker will host this gathering which promises to be a great time! Come out and join the fun.

Date/Time: 10/7/2006, 10:00 arrival at the earliest; ending late afternoon.

Invited: All chapter members, family, friends, Big T neighbors, aerobatic enthusiasts (especially if they might want to join!) Fly in, drive, walk, whatever.

Food: Grilled stuff; probably hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.

Gas: Some gas will be available, but no cheaper than Tara.

Flying: There is space next to the field for practice and critiquing will be available, but there is NO WAIVERED AIRSPACE at Big T.

Mark has offered to place cones to mark center field and 500 ft. to the end of the runway (it's 2200ft long). If you decide you don't want to land there, Tara and Falcon are not far away.

For more information on the field and how to get there, try Skyvector. Search for 64GA in the Airport/VOR/Fix box. Map will center on Big T and provide current METAR info for nearby reporting stations.

For field information, Airnav is a good source. It has an aerial picture of the strip and lots of runway and navaid info.

122.85 is the field freq.

Left hand traffic for Rwy 34 and Right Hand traffic for Rwy 16.

For any field-related questions, call Mark at 678-463-5944.

If you are driving, Google Maps should help.

If you have questions, please contact Tim Walter via e-mail (president(at)iac3.org) or 678-406-0620.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
