Jimmie, Lowell, Eric, and all other Kitfoxers:
I get frustrated with the layout of the Frappr map also. They continuously change the format and add features that make it difficult for me to navigate the site. I can't presently find the link to administer the site.
The porn pictures are visible on my map but only when I click on the "Photos" as Jimmie says. The link you clicked was probably the one on the top of the page to the right. These links are not related to the map you are viewing. Those photos are recent postings in the Frappr world. . . and there are some strange ones out there. (I saw one map that some dude set up to post naked pictures of his wife!!!)
To access the Kitfox pictures, you have to go down the page farther where there is a band of pictures streaming across the page. There is a link there to see all the pictures. We do have a great collection of airplane pictures as well as scenery.
Lowell, I set the Frappr map to center on the East coast, I believe it was somewhere in Maine, so most of the pins would be seen when the map first comes up. To move to another position, click and hold on the map and drag it to a new location. Same thing if you can't read the balloon of info, just drag the map lower. Personally, I would rather have a larger map area with less clutter. I am not the creator of the Frappr site, I just set up the Kitfox Map using their technology. I think it is a great tool for us to use even though there are some irritating features and a less-than-friendly format.
There is a chat room feature on all the maps that I disabled and the new photos were streaming like our pictures, but I also disabled that. I thought I did that globally, but if it shows on your map, you should be able to change the layout.
I hope that no one decides to leave the map because of the less-than-perfect format and that we can get more people from around the world to join. I would also like to see more scenery photos unique to the Kitfox world. Not all of us get to fly the high mountains, desert, or the everglades. Even though you see this every time you fly, you should share it with those of us who don't.
Our map is not searchable. The only people who have the address are on this list, however, if there should be an inappropriate picture posted, send me an email and I have the power to delete it.
