As a Zenith 750 builder in an advanced stage of construction let me say thanks for your heads up on this issue

I can understand gravity flow stopping when the carb level rises above the fuel tank outlet level, but assuming that the 0-200 engine installation has a mechanical fuel pump, my question is why the electric fuel pump worked when the mechanical fuel pump didn’t.

Would be interesting to find out also the location of the electrical fuel pump?

I can still make changes!

Subject: fuel starvation problem while doing a high angle of attack, power on stall

On a training flight yesterday in a Zenith STOL 750 with an 0-200 engine we experienced a short stoppage of the engine while doing a prolonged high angle of attack, power on stall. We had about half tanks of fuel on board. Once the engine quit we lowered the nose and immediately turned on the electric fuel pump. The engine came back to life and the rest of the flight was uneventful. This phenomenon was not experienced during the 40 hour flight testing period.

There is a placard advising that the "electric boost pump should be used for takeoff and landing", however perhaps this should be changed to say, " electric boost pump should be used during training maneuvers and low level operations" or something like that.
