 Greetings List,

I am offering to sell stuff I have left from my Kolb Firestar II.  I have a Rotax 503 DCDI W/ everything except the B box. Aluminum gear legs, some gauges, a soft pack BRS (never deployed),  and enclosure for winter flying I bought (secondhand) and never used. Please contact me, OFF LIST if you need something. wrk2win4u(at)msn.com (wrk2win4u(at)msn.com)

I am now refurbishing the Mark III 582 I bought and will be flying soon, (yes Boyd SOON). I have an oil leak where the small clear tubing attaches to the intake of the Bing carbs. I have been looking for a clamp for the Bing 54 carbs. On my 503 it had small pinch-metal clamps. I  am not able to find anything. Let me know if you have a source for this fix.

Thanks,
Kurt

Use safety wire, wrap it twice around, and tighten carefully. You want it tight enough to hold, not so tight it will cut into the tubing. If you are not sure how tight this is, do a few trial runs on the workbench. After you get it tight and trim the wire, bend the cut end around and get the sharp ends safely out of the way or it will cut the fool out of you. Guess how I know this?
