Hi I’m new to the list and just purchased my 1st Kolb . I have to go several hundred miles to pick it up and I need to know several measurements in order to get a trailer ready. Is there a
Web site I can go to that will have this? The Kolb website has some, but not many. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

I just went to. New Mexico to pick up a Mark 3 and had to rent a 24 ft haul to haul it back and didn't have much room left.
Don't know if this helps but it's worth what you spent .
Good luck , and good flying

LaneMy Xtra is in a 24’ box-trailer, and there’s not s not an inch of fore & aft clearance. If you use a trailer like this you may have to remove the rudder.

My MK3 is carried in a 24 ft car hauler modified with a V nose which gave an additional 30" inside.I back it in and the wheels go inside the wheel wells of the trailer. It also has 1 ft added height over standard for engine clearance and what is called a beaver tail. The floor after the wheel wells is tapered down to make a larger inside door height. If your Mk3 has the tall steel gear legs you probably need all that height.I carried one once and it was a close fit with a 912 engine and 3 blade prop.

I have heard that whatever trailer you use beds to have some kind of springs or shocks. If not, the Kolb gets all the impact from the road when traveling. Is this true or is it being overly cautious?
