Hey Freeflight 1201 users...
Can anyone tell me what antenna you use with your freeflight 1201 GPS?
I'm just looking to find the exact specs and some various models
so that I know what is the proper one to pair with it.

Call Freeflight. Since this box carries a TSO I'd expect the TSO requires certain specified antenna(s).

Tim - mine started with a Comdat CI 420-220 (26.5 dB gain). Specifications call for p/n 81194 which looks to have a 40 dB gain. I later changed mine to a CI 420-224 (37-40 dB gain). I have not detected any difference between the two.

Thanks Byron,
I've actually used a CI 420-220 on a couple different
systems before and it's always worked real well. And, I
can get my hands on a CI 420-224 easily too. I'm just
glad it's been working for you. The install manual
doesn't seem to give much good information and
specified antennas are all very old (i.e. not made
anymore or made to lower specs than what you can get
today). So it's nice to know that it should operate
with those. At least I know the 81194 isn't the
only option, as that seems like a pretty old antenna
and it isn't easy to come by.
