After further testing I don't think it is thermally degraded battery
performance. I believe the problem is being caused by contraction of
some part of the circuitry.
Any tips on looking for the failure point. Likely components, telltale
appearance of a connection, things like that.

The things we admire in men, kindness and generosity, openness, honesty,
understanding and feeling are the concomitants of failure in our system.
And those traits we detest, sharpness, greed, acquisitiveness, meanness,
egotism and self-interest are the traits of success. And while men
admire the quality of the first they love the produce of the second.

Greetings,
Does anyone know how the voltages of AA disposable lithium batteries and
AA alkaline compare at temps in the neighborhood of -20F.
I'm trouble shooting a weather station with an intermittent problem and
wondering if AA lithium will give more voltage/current, and possibly
solve my problem.
Thanks,
