Hi all,
At the risk of sounding simple - I have a Europa Classic Wing that needs completion and would like to know where to find information about installing the Stall Warning on this wing.
Information on the web has only shown stall warning installs for XS wings.
Can anyone help please?

Tony,
If you quickly flip through the Europa web information sheet on the Stall Warner Installation you will find that the first half deals with the XS installation and the second half deals with the Classic installation.

Hi Tony. When you go to the europa website click on the mod's tab and go into the stall Warner mod, then like dave said it covers the XS install first and then the classic. Is your wing all glassed up or are you able to work with the foam block on the bench? I incorporated this mod while building the wings which made it easier. Good luck, Frank

After some searching on the web I found the document that described the installation.
Now its back to the workshop - damn hot in there - I might have to wait for some cooler months...

Tony, I didn't follow the start of this thread, but if it isn't too late I would put in a SmartASS 3 rather than the Europa stall warner - it is much more effective and much likelier to save your life. The problem with the stall warner is that it makes a fairly modest squeak in your headrest. Modern headsets are designed to keep almost all of that noise out (aggravated by creeping deafness for some!).On top of that it sounds for much of the take off and landing runs , particularly in a mono, so that you become entirely accustomed to ignoring it. Most stall spin fatal accidents happen in spite of a conventional stall warner, but there have been none in planes equipped with a SmartASS and I know of a case where an experienced pilot has been 'saved' by his SmartASS after an EFATO - that is to say that his speed had decayed very dangerously before Helen (the lovely lady inside the SmartASS ) brought him to his senses. An equivalent and I suspect equally effective system is the relatively new Bendix King KR10, but that costs 10 x as much and seems unnecessary unless you are flying a certified airplane.
Will happily send you more info if you are interested. - on reflection as this is a topic of some significance to Europas I will post the contents of the Article on Stall/Spin accidents and how to prevent them (previously published in the Europa Flyer) onin the Flying Section of the club website (www.theeuropaclub.org)
