Have an -18T attitude indicator that starts to erect but then cages. When reset it starts up again and then cages. The -18T manual calls for attaching a piece of test equipment for checking operation but no diagnostics or repairs. Does anyone know of an instrument shop that works on these instruments? Instruments for sale?

It is my understanding they are pretty much unrepairable (according to
Termikas), because some of the internal components are no longer
available. Although you may find a used one somewhere, the best
solution is to go with a Dynon D6 or D10.

Unless you are desperate for originality, my own experience is that once they start misbehaving it can be very difficult to get them working correctly, and that you are better advised to save a lot of time (and indeed weight) by replacing the instrument and the remote gyro with a Western analogue!
