Howard & George,
If you are curious as to what is involved in the conversion to tri-gear, I suggest you check out my build site on europaowners.org as there is an album showing what I went through to convert from mono-wheel to tri-gear.

I too have been in the process of changing from a mono wheel to a tri gear. I have images of the process on europaowners.org under "Kyles Europa."
I'm located in Alabama if you're nearby.
Bob's images helped me a lot when starting the process.
