Hello all,
If you are fed up with the effects of “Climate Change” and need a break from the winter doldrums, come on down to Florida this April 20-26 (Monday through Sunday).
I have reserved spot N-55 on the main flight line off Hangar B. I have no idea what plane I am showing this year as I have a few to choose from. This year I should have a new blade for the AP332 made by Whirlwind propellers for us. I hope to have it installed and tested and provide numbers for you all. The Warp Drive (WD) blades are pretty good, but in testing I have found the Sensenich and Whirlwind two blade a bit faster by 4-8 knots at altitude at max continuous. Jim at Whirlwind (WW) is confident his new three blade will be lighter for sure and at least perform a bit better. This is an inexpensive change for the 332 owners. I hope to have the tooling to swap over from the WD to WW blades. I also have some additional data on landing light performance for those of us who are amp zealots.
I’ve toyed with some trim systems with Creighton Smith who hopes to be flying in a couple months in 96EG.
So come on down and have some fun and camaraderie.
Best Regards,
Bud Yerly

I hope to be there from California. WD blades are very nice looking and lighter/faster is what it's all about!

We just finished digging out from about 2 feet of snow so we're ready for SNF. It's late enough we should have no problem getting out - last year we were still digging snow at SNF time!
Whirlwind blades sound exciting.
See you there.
