List
I will be installing a CAMit alternator soon and was wondering where to install the shunt to measure both high and low amps on a Dynon DEK-180.
They show three locations: one is directly off the alternator before it gets to the main bus from the battery to the load. second is after the intersection between the battery and load and third is right off the master solenoid but not in the start circuit. I am favoring the third location so it will measure either alternator or battery amps if the alternator should fail.
Anyone have any ideas pro or con?
