Did you try replacing the seal on the oil tube (screws into the front) that supplies oil to the prop hub?  That seal leaked on my 50 and I thought for sure it was the front case seal and turned out I save myself a lot of trouble. (Thanks to Vladimir Yastremski)  Just a thought, and a lot easier than the front case seal which take a special tool to remove (never done it, just watched it being done).  If you are going to do it yourself you are going to need that tool, and the only ones I am aware of are those that been custom built, but I am sure "The Big Guys" have them.
