Looking to buy a tow bar for my CJ. Either new or used.
Looking for advice on tow bars available for sale on Aircraft spruce. Which one would be most appropriate for the CJ. I'm not terrible fond of the Brackett Universal bars. I noticed the box shaped FBO tow bars but not sure what size I need. I plan on using it with a golf cart, and prefer a ball hitch.
Thanks
Ernie

Ernie,
<<ball hitch tow bar>>I have one I did up for a buddy with a CJ with a button actuated quick-lock feature so it doesn't pop pop out of the axle when turning.
Contact me off line if interested.

Made one out of 1-1'4" EMT tube, a couple of plumbing "T's", some brazing and a trailer hitch. It has lasted about 20 years now. Slide in axle was welded from some more EMT.
Works fine, lasts a long time...

I made mine out of old sticks and duct tape.
Seriously, take the drawing of the Chinese version to a welding shop and have them make a replica. It cost me less than 200 bucks. I had them put a "loop" at the end where the T handle starts to use in a pintlehook. Mine's about 6 feet lon.
I'd be happy to post pictures.
ps mine is for sale: 69,000 (comes attached to plane) cheaper than Bear's Dynon!
