Thanks for all the help on the last set of questions. I'm moving along
nicely. One more, though. I'm getting a little fuel coming out the vent
lines, and my idle seems to wander between 1800 and 2200, mostly towards
2200. I seem to remember a problem with "weak / bad" float needles in
the past and wonder if my engine might be of that vintage. (Purchased
new 2011.) Are there different "strength" float needles for 912's? I
haven't sync'd the carbs yet, but don't think things are running
exceptionally rough. (At least not by 582 standards!) I'll do so this
week but are the carb floats that sensitive to vibration?

Larry,
Thanks again for the reminder and sorry I needed it. Attached is the
picture. And you are correct, the hole is drilled right through the weld
bead. Typically, I will dill a 1/8" hole as a pilot hole then go up to the
3/16.
