Hello Kolb Pilots, I’m new to Matronics. I have recently acquired a Mark III which I had planned to restore; however I found that the cage was bent beyond reasonable repair. What would it take to convert the Mark III to an Xtra?I assume I can reuse the MkIII boom, wings, tail feathers, new Rotax 582, etc. I’m not sure about the linkages for the ailerons, elevator, rudder, and flaps?? I also understand that the wing angle-of-attack needs to be changed and the lift struts are different in length. Also, not sure if MkIII gear can be reused. Any advice or recommendations will be appreciated.

Thanks, Dee LeBlanc

Why don`t you talk to the makers. They are nice people to deal with. Good luck Pat

Thanks Pat, that's an obvious choice and I did that first. Just wanted more information on details and other builder experience.
Thanks again, Dee LeBlanc
