Went flying yesterday in my CJ and my lower back started to act up after an hour.
I was wondering if anyone has come up with a supportive backpad for the seat. I am tall (Over 6') so can't afford to be moved closer to the pedals. Does the existing backpad serve any purpose? Would neoprene or a dense foam with a lumbar support work? Are there any stretches that I could do prior to flying that would mitigate the discomfort?
(Searched the archives to no avail)
Thanks,

I,ve used one for years. Just a little arc shaped pad that fits in the lower back portion btwn the chute and seat. I got mine at Oregon Aero at OSH.Works great on those long trips.
Strong also make on to fit on their parachutes (which I bought). Not as big but also does a good job. I like my OA pad the best.
Good Luck.

Phil,
You may want to choose the cheapest and easiest remedy(?) first.
