been a while since I built my first Firefly...could call Bryan...but
since Travis left...know he is very busy...

got all my "left behind Parts" from California today...after more
than a month of promises...Even the engine mounts! Smile 10 gal tank and
fuel gauge sender... this firefly was going to be heavy!!!

Question...It appears that the book and plans manual do not show the
two sets of Pulleys coming directly from the rudder pedals and control
stick(under the seat, two to each side of the aileron torque tube, ...
so...Which side,,,standing behind the cockpit and looking down, does the
top Elevator cable thread through? I know they occupy the inner two
pulleys...and likely it does not matter..It probably matters that
pushing the stick forward moves the elevator down...Smile .Herb

Herb,

I don't think it really matters. I mounted the turnbuckle directly to the joystick and picked the down elevator cable (upper cable on joystick) to go on the right side. Since the turnbuckle had to go on one side or the other, I used that to pick the pulley.

I think there was a joystick revision somewhere along the Firefly line as mine was not the same as what was in the manual.

You can kind of see it here: http://harnerfarm.net/serenity/Images/building1/seatlg.JPG

If you want a different picture, I can send one to you.

Stuart

Looking forward to visiting with Bryan at OSH in a couple of weeks. Are you going?

Guess I could have taken a clue from the plans that show the top
elevator cable going to the right middle pulley on the assy at the front
end of the boom tube... Smile

will not be at Oshkosh...will see Bryan and Helen and Dennis next
week...going through there on my way to visit Kin in East Ky...Herb
