I've gone through my set of plans and the firestar builder's manual and can find no specification as to the gage of the sheet aluminum used in the vertical stabilizer attachment brackets. Can anyone help me?
thanks
joe

As I remember my mkiii instructions said 0.032 aluminum. Your mileage may vary.

Here ye be, it is the bracket referred to as Gusset "L" on the 1st picture, top right. It is .032 thick, watch the minimum bend radius. It is confusing, because they also show a different Gusset "L" on the next picture, which is part of the same blueprint sheet. I figured it out by comparing the Firestar sheet to the MKIII sheet, last picture.
