Hi,
I had one of the original GSC i/f props, bought while I was building, and on hearing the news of bearings collapsing, I got hold of GSC, because I had planned a long over water flight and couldn't have the prop going to fine half way. They said they had up graded the I/F prop bearings and I think it was strengthened shaft for the 100hp. Rotax.
They offered to service my unused prop and supplied an upgraded prop for a reasonable price, that meant I would always have a spare. Unfortunately the new set up does not fit the original design.
When I last spoke to them it had changed hands and they had stopped making the I/F which was originally made for the Pulsar. They have retained the jigs etc in case of an increase in demand on the I/F.
One of the original builders repaired his I/F with a double race bearing don't know any more, I think the problem was that they used an standard bearing which did not support the side load.
Hope this helps.
Keith
