We have a Pulsar owner wanting to install roll trim. Does anyone have a picture he could go by?
Thanks for all the suggestions on the radio noise. I have gone through most of the ground wires with no improvement. Yesterday, I disconnected the capacitor that is connected to the voltage regulator, it tested good, reinstalled it and no more static. Now I am chasing a breakup in transmission. It occurs about every 5 seconds, like something switches off and on. It cannot be seen in the power to the panel so I am thinking about going back to the voltage regulator. Experimental is definitely a teaching experience in so many different occupations.
Having fun in Kansas,
Thanks
Greg

What brand/type of radio. Google the problem - could be a known problem with the radio. Inspect and tighten the ground and power lead to the radio and antenna coax.
Get a field strength meter. Little box with antenna and see if the signal changes when you transmit. You could also try a aviation hand-held. A VHF swr/power meter will also tell a story. This sounds like a good opportunity to get some test equipment for your ham shack. While you are at it get a frequency counter too.
