Not specifically a Glasair question but - on our Glasair, what could suddenly cause
the rudder to come out of trim?
For about ten years now we've been flying a trimmed plane. For example, it needed
right rudder on climb, no rudder at cruise (143 KIAS) and left rudder during
descents. (160 KIAS.) Just as you would expect.
Now all of a sudden it constantly needs right rudder and is only trimmed at 160
KIAS in a descent.
This happened within a flight or two after our last "annual" inspection. But I
didn't take anything apart during the annual. I do recall "rerouting" the right
rudder cable near the elevator trim box to where it should have been. But we're
talking only a half inch displacement. (If I recall correctly, I pulled the
cable to get it to clear around a fuel vent line.)
Anyway, I thought I would ask you all for suggestions.
Thanks,
