I am about to fit the Alt. Hold horns on the CS10. The drawing on the Mod 76 document is a little confusing. Has anyone done this Mod. ?

I just want to confirm that the Alt. Hold horn is exactly the same orientation as the Stabilator port horn. 

Hope that's clear.

Have you replaced cs10 then ? How easy was it?

It sounds like you are adding horns to the existing.

Europa supply a kit to modify the CS10 by welding the two horns onto the CS10 to take the pushrod from the servo.

I did this mod a couple of years back and used the original CS10 torque tube, and had the europa supplied lugs welded on by a local specialist aircraft welder. I preferred to keep the original control system as much the same as possible. Getting the lugs welded on was not the hardest part - its a lot of work to get the torque tube out, and also very fiddly to connect the new servo rod - there is just so little room to work.  In answer to your question "I just want to confirm that the Alt. Hold horn is exactly the same orientation as the Stabilator port horn" I'm pretty sure that the horn is not the same orientation, but the drawings in mod 76 show the correct position. The position is vital - I made a jig to hold it in place so there was no question of the welder putting it in the wrong place. So good luck!

Did you translate the angle from the drawings on Mod 76.

I think so, but it was a while ago. I think I set it up with the angles shown and then checked that there was sufficient movement full forward and back, and that there was no danger of 'over centre', the real no no. And yes, you wouldn't want to do this  mod too many times! Roddy.

I made a bracket that clamps over the torque tube. It can be put on without removing the torque tube.  I put pictures on the old web sites, but can forward them to you when I get back home from the holidays.

I have just been going through this.

I decided not to go through taking out the torque tube - I cat see why youd want to go through that.  If I did not have the top on I would definitely have gone for attaching the servo to the tail torque tube.  there are some very nice set ups that Alain and others posted..
