When performing an IFR landing you have to slow Glasairs down miles away from an airport and have the prop set and gear and flaps down way before entering the glide slope.

How so? I know there are more RVs around but how is support now from Glasair in
terms of parts availability, MX and upgrades? How does a Glasair fly compared
to RV? I am looking for under 100k budget for one equipped for IFR and can use
for training and instrument rating. How is insurance for a low time pilot?
