So on the topic of these Mag drive bushings...
I ordered 3 sets of them to keep on hand. They were cheap.
But, I think there is an issue with my order.
I am pretty sure my old bushings did NOT have the tangs out the side.
The old bushings were the LW13641 type then, because the new
drive gear is p/n LW-13899 and the new cushions are
p/n 68H22624, and if you read SI 1299B, it shows a picture
of the new ones having tangs on them.
Attached is a photo of what I received. Yes, mine were not
"lycoming" branded, but sold by Continental (previously ECI),
and are aftermarket. But they came with the tangs. So I can
only assume that they are shipping the incorrect (new) part
under the old part number. Even the baggie they came in has
the old p/n.
Does this sound correct to any of you that are in the know?

You don't happen to have the info on the p/n or manufacturer and
compatibility with our IO-540's do you?
I've had mine out a couple times but have not replaced them and
they're almost 1200 hours old so I figured I'd order 2 or 3 pairs,
since I'll have 2 airplanes to care for.
