Good techique from Bill, but I'd offer you this. If you are looking for the perfect "anything" in the aerobatic world..... get a good coach. It is money spent that you will never regret.
In all things Russian, my favorite person is Sergei Boriak.

p.s. Not saying you will do it, but botched hammerheads are the perfect way to introduce you to an inverted spin. If you have already mastered all the possible spins in the 55, once again the key is an outside observer talking to you and telling you what you are doing wrong... or right!

I don't know about the Yak 55 but the Yak 52 is 82% and full throttle entry speed 300 clicks or better pull to straight up with 4 1/2 - 5 G you can cheat and use the AH at 50 clicks kick FULL right rudder as rotation starts slight forward and to the left stick when the nose is pointed to the ground center controls. That's how I do it in MY Yak 52

I perfected the hammer spin in both the 52 and the CJ6... Hammer I'm
still working on...
