JFYInfo, But Probably been done before. Because the flap hinge brackets are light gauge and flexible, I made up these little brackets (spanners) to fit over the flap hinge bolt head and pop riveted them to one side of the flap bracket. By using AN4-7A bolts, thin washers and nylock nuts, the nylock nuts can be tightened and bottom out before the flap hinge brackets are pinched onto the bronze bush. Because the bolt head is fixed and rotates with the flap hinge bracket, the bolt must rotate in the bronze bearing as it's supposed to. No chance of the bolt being loose enough to start rotating inside the flap hinge brackets instead of the bronze bush. No pesky split pin ends to gouge your wrists when washing under the wings is an added bonus. The holes in my brackets locate on two flats of the bolt. but other methods of capturing the bolt head would work. The two pop rivets are located at the back of the flap hinge brackets so they don't conflict with the wing flap bracket when the flaps are up. Cheers from Western Australia
