Boeing-sponsored documentary series premieres Monday Summary: “The Age of Aerospace,” a five-part documentary commissioned by Boeing, premieres Monday, Feb. 1, on the Science Channel and Feb. 6 on the Discovery Channel.
What: Produced by award-winning filmmakers The Documentary Group, “The Age of Aerospace” chronicles the history of Boeing and its heritage companies through interviews with present and former employees of Boeing and its heritage companies, as well as aerospace experts, journalists, writers and historians. More than 114,000 feet of rare unseen 16mm and 35mm film from the Boeing archives were transferred to high definition video for use in the series.
“The Age of Aerospace” will premiere on the Science Channel beginning Monday, Feb. 1, at 8 p.m. Eastern time with an 11 p.m. encore. The documentary will premiere on the Discovery Channel at noon Eastern time on Feb. 6. Employees should check local listings for broadcast times in their area.
The series is planned to also air on the American Heroes Channel in the second quarter and be hosted on all three channels’ websites. As part of the Boeing sponsorship with Discovery Communications, the series is being translated into 15 languages and will be broadcast later in the year in more than 27 additional countries on local Discovery and Science channel platforms.
