Hi everyone
I am having some difficulty using Meterological Office weather
information for VFR flights around the UK. They recently changed the
website. Can I ask other UK fliers for any advise? Ultimately I would
want to access it via an iphone. Are there other providers who are
easier to use?

I use two iPhone apps
AeroWeather which gets me the METAR and TAFs and is easy to use.
Met Office app giving me general forecast and a map showing rainfall, winds and temperatures at ground level.
I don't generally go for the 214/215 unless I'm planning a particularly long flight and expect upper winds to be a problem on range. I use the new Met Office site to get these but admit it's not as friendly as the previous version.
Are you going to be at the Europa Club meeting in March perhaps we can have a discuss/show and tell if you like.

I use Aero weather and Weather Pro, the latter gives me the more accurate weather even though it is German based, for £3.99 you can upgrade to Pro and get productive rainfall and more.

Hi All
Agree with aeroweather and weatherpro, but on the desk top I like
skyvector.com (it does not work properly on Android). American site but
with world wide coverage. There is an easy goto in the top left of the
screen and layers allows you to select a weather radar overlay, plus you
get the sigmets. It works as the new UK met office site would work had
it been designed properly!
Anyone know a source of 214/215 other than via the met office site?

Not for free.
Subscription services like AvBrief and SkyBookGA include then in their subscription services.

How about looking at the weather page on the Europa club web site ?
http://www.theeuropaclub.org/flight-briefing/weather-links/
A vast amount of well researched weather info available there.
including xc weather and orbifly which show graphical taf's and metars . Gramet is also worth looking at as it depicts the weather between your departure airport and your destination. and its all on one page on the club website

I can confirm, that the Met map of orbifly gives a very good overview of flyable weather, based on METAR/TAF.
