Hi all. Do any of you know the specs of the metal ends that screw onto the door gas struts or even better where I can purchase some from? (Other than Europa) A link would be fabulous . Many thanks Frank

Frank,

Go to McMaster-Carr ( mcmaster.com ) and search on “standard gas spring fittings” to see their selection of gas strut hardware.

They probably have something you can use.

Hi Graeme. Thanks for the reply. I couldn't copy and paste the image line but is this where Europa but their stock in from? Do you know which ends are for the gas struts we have, as there is plenty to choose. Thanks

Bud Yerly at Custom Flight has beautiful spring ends that lock on to the ball-end posts.

Thanks for the info Graeme.
I have made contact with Chris Lisseman and will arrange to go and see him
with my gas strut and ball ends to arrange to buy a small stock. Their
minimum charge is 25 so I would be happy to purchase a small number for
other members of the Club.

Hi Steve, need to replace one of my gas struts as it no longer supports the door safely, so count me in.

Steve,

Please add two gas struts to the order. Mine have corroded - thats posh
for rusty - and I will replace rather than repressurise and paint.

The service from IGS is excellent, however, a £5 per recharge cost turned into a total cost of £34 with the P&P. Beware of ordering gas filled items as they have to be sent special carriage due to the explosion risk!

I just had mine refilled to prevent the canopy dropping down in the cold weather (obviously they work better in the warm).

I hope to go to IGS tomorrow and will report back on my findings, before
committing anyone to payment.
