Is it a good idea to replace the tygon tubing vent line from the header tank to the wing tank with a good quality 1/4 fuel injection hose from Carquest?

I like the transparent line for a visual second source of fuel level. I recently flew a long leg where on descent to pattern altitude for landing, the low fuel light came on. A glance at the tygon vent confirmed the low fuel sensor warning. I liked the information for the reassurance that the warning system was functioning as designed. That is just me, though.

Believe it or not I use the blue transparent Bing alcohol resistant fuel line nearly everywhere. It's worked great so far. (I do replace it yearly, at annual, though.)

I had the blue fuel line from aircraft spruce on for a while but it cracked and spilled the gas inside the cockpit. I should have changed it yearly, like you said.
Thanks
