Who is operating a B&C SD10 alternator?  How well does it work?  Also, does anyone have any weight and balance information regarding the installation of a Scott 3200 tailwheel?
Thank you!

I have had problems with the B & C SD 10.
The B & C 35 or 50 amp is way better and has a more reliable voltage regulator.

I've had one on my M14p for over 1,800 hours with NO problems.

For my interest, is that 1800 hours on the same engine?

Boy did I exaggerated that! (It seem the thing has been on there forever). Anyway, I installed the M-14p engine our my CJ-6 in 12/97 new from AeroStar. In 1/2006 at 1,150 hours engine time, I changed to the B&C I-40 alternator and LSIA. So now at 1,906 hours on the engine the alternator actually has 756 hours on it. I did have to change the (Teflon?) drive gear due to material failure (B&C gave me new one with changed material because of the failures) but other than that I've no absolutely no problems with my B&C. AAMOF, I still have the old generator sitting on a shelf if anybody wants it. Only changed it to save weight.

PS (As with old pilots, we tend to exaggerated lovers and landings) :-\

Again, to make sure I understand: the engine itself has done 1906 hours from new – have you done any work on it in that time?
