Kolb Friends -

I'm selling my Mark-III Classic, after building it and enjoying it for 14 years.

340 hrs total time, 912ul, BRS, VGs, steel landing gear, Matco tailwheel, Radio/Intercom, 12 gal fuel, etc. $22K.
See pics & description on Barnstormers.

It's been a good time, being part of this Matronics Kolb List, and getting to know you all. I've learned a lot, and made quite a few aviation friends. Am "moving up" to a larger airplane - one that I can take my spouse with me (and camp equip) to the 8000-ft elevation backcountry airstrips here in NM. Up until now, I could only do this solo in my 80 hp Mark-3 ... and it did it very well! But now, I need something a *little* bit bigger. This has been a good little airplane for me.

Please contact me if interested.

Dennis, if you are on a budget, take a look at the 100HP versions of the Taylorcraft, the F-19 (Continental O-200) and the F-21 (115HP Lycoming).

They will get you to your camp site at a lower cost than the equivalent Cub. On the same power, the T-craft will do 90%+ of the short landing and takeoff distance of a Cub and give you 10-20 MPH more cruise speed.

Kirby - FWIW, as a professional wildlife photog I used a Cessna 170, with back seat removed, for a lot of back-country work. It did beautifully! — esp with bigger tires & STOL mods. I recommend! Flew it 2700hrs, 6 coast-coasts. Slept in it a few times.
