The G meter is a stand-alone instrument ..... with an electrical connection. FYI, it can be taken apart fairly easily and the set point that turns on the over-G light can be adjusted to whatever you desire. Of course you also adjust calibration inside of that thing, so you have to be observant of which screw to adjust! Smile

Thanks Mark. I'm gonna pull it this weekend and have a look. The g-meter in my front pit seems a bit flaky anyway so some calibration effort is probably in order.
