Sometimes, not always, I have a hiss coming from behind the gear handle. Is there something back ther that needs mx once in a while? Also, who sells the brake reducing box overhaul kit (the little box under right side of pilot seat)

Dan,The pneumatic system (gear and flap valves in the cockpits) normally vent to the atmosphere via holes in these valves, that is the hiss you hear when the gear/flaps go up and down.  You should hear it EVERY time the system cycles.
It's really hard for me to determine what you need by your description "brake reducing box overhaul kit (the little box under right side of pilot seat)"   This is why god invented part numbers!  Check your parts books (Vol #1) or if you don't have a set go to my web site http://cj6.com/ and you will find a set there, or give me a call (509-826-4610) so I can better understand and make sure you get the correct parts.

Dan,
That's the brake differential valve under the right side of the front seat. Doug Sapp sells the overhaul kits for both the brake reducing valve (under the floor on the right side of the rear cockpit on the Yak 52) and the brake differential valve.
The hiss could be from the gear handle itself. But more likely from one of the gear actuators. Give me a call (you have my number) and we can discuss how to troubleshoot the leak.

Doug,
On the 52 (which is what Dan has), the brake reducing valve is the QS1 on the CJ and the brake differential valve is the QS2 on the CJ. By Dan's description, he is asking for the QS2 or brake differential valve overhaul kit.
