I have a 2007 Allegro with a 912 80hp engine. After an annual and a pneumatic balance on the carbs, I continue to have a rough running engine at rpm's between 2500 and 3000. Any suggestion as to why this would occur or recommendations on what I should check? This is aggravating because I run this rpm during landing.

I assume during your annual, you replaced the plugs and applied thermal paste to the plugs. Found nothing abnormal, etc...? If you've got age on the carbs, it might be time to pull them apart and inspect.
