Hi Gert,
I have just had a voltage regulation problem. Here is a test procedure that I found for certain items in the voltage generation and regulating system on a Rotax:

There is also a spare part reference for the capacitor but it's in the USA.
I hope Karen doesn't mind passing on this information that I received from her last week!
"Europa is on holiday until the 27 June and they are expecting delivery of the capacitors reference 381-8999, 22000UF for that date and normal price is £12.69. We can offer an alternative, same spec, on a 3/4 day delivery at £15.90 plus Airmail untracked at £5.00 or Airmail tracked at £12.25. All quoted prices are exclusive of VAT."

Quick snapshot of the AGM at North Weald yesterday. I can't give a proper report
because I had to leave early, but the usual faces were there despite the uniniviting
weather conditions in the morning.
I'm grateful to all those usual faces who give their time and do all the work on
behalf of the club, those of us who currently don't or can't contribute do appreciate
it.

During start up today, my capacitor just vent puf exploded with oil all over.
Any hint for a supplier where I can get a new in a hurry?

Hi Gert.
Without knowing the circumstances of your capacitor failure my experience
when
mine failed it was a symptom of the regulator that had failed causing the
capacitor to vent its content overboard.

I replaced my capacitor last year purely because it looked tired from the outside and was some 10 years old.
Bought it from Conair Sports.
