I have 3 ELT batts that have expired legally but still put out reasonable voltage. Any suggested uses with an easily rigged or wired solution? Especially for a potential emergency (grid down, etc) use.

Thanks in advance

Flashlight. The hideously expensive batteries in my 406 ELT are "D" size
but put out 3 volts. Replaced the bulb with an LED in a $5 flashlight
and re-purposed the expired batteries.
