It is my sad duty to inform the membership that Ira Saligman passed away late on Sunday just before midnight.  His internal organs shut down as infections overcame his body from the burns.  Ira was attempting to recover from his Yak-11 landing mishap that occurred just one week ago. 

It is sad when we lose a brother and fellow pilot who loved flying as much as he did.  The entire Red Star Pilots Association staff sends our deepest condolences to the family.  This is truly is a loss to the aviation community, his family, and friends. 

The funeral is this Friday, August 5th, 2016 at 11am.  The funeral home is located Northeast of Philadelphia at [url=levinefuneral.com]Joseph Levine and Sons,[/url] 4737 Street Rd, Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania.
