All,
I was working on fitting the aft nose wheel fairing today and I believe that I may have an issue. According to the plans, the rearmost edge of the aft fairing is supposed to be 20 5/32" aft of the center of the axle. I trimmed and retrimmed the relief for the nose wheel strut, but I think that I may have trimmed it a bit too much. I looked online and saw a number of different fairings that only had the trimmed area in the localized to the recess area for the overlap of the forward part of the nose wheel fairing. I am looming for any wisdom or opinions as to whether this is one of those "build on" moments, or did I make an error in my fitting?

I did contact Van's, but did not really get any real advice that was usable.

It appears to me you have cut the notch too far back into the rear section. It also appears that the rear of the fairing is to high. My notch just protrudes into the joggle of the rear fairing. The majority of the cutout is in the front section.
