I’m working on the door handle mechanism. The pictures in the manual show the mounting plate DL02 with holes all over, but my plate does not have any holes other than the one for the spindle. The manual also mentions the Redux squidging through the holes when bonding in the DL02. I plan to drill a few holes in my DL02s - maybe not as many as in the picture - but wonder if anyone would advise against drilling holes in DL02.

Hello Rowland,
It has to do with the strength of the bond. Even with scuff sanding the shear forces which get applied to the plate might be too strong. With the holes and the redux inside them you are effectively interweaving the plate and the adhesive which makes for a much stronger bond.
