I have kit 215, a Classic Tri Gear, with a Rotax 912ULS. It has the Classic cowls ( I actually have 2 sets of them), but the Europa supplied firewall forward kit requires XS cowls.
Folk tell me I must order a set of XS cowls. But is it feasible to mod the Classic ones?
Having been totally absorbed running an engineering business for the last 30 years, building my 'plane came last in the priorities. Finally I have more time and am making good progress, but I do have a few dumb questions that others asked 15+ years back.

To use your classic cowls you would need to get a classic engine mount and classic radiators (2 of them) but am sure the oil cooler could be modified if you modified the cowls like Peter kember did to move it under the prop. Check out the Europa owners club site under building.
