I'm checking in too. I have a Fox 4 912UL with a 4 stroke engine and a car
with a 2 stroke (63 SAAB 96).
Just changed the hoses out in the 912.....not fun !

Yes, Those 912's seem to be well liked. They are light weight but still
require a reduction box. They are a
hybrid engine.

Good morning Kitfoxer=99s
I have been monitoring and using this list since the early 90=99s and
used it a lot during the building of my Model 3 with 582 engine.=C2- So
far I have about 1100 hours on the model 3 and find it the most enjoyable a
irplane to fly that I have ever been in.=C2- Good to hear that there are
at least a couple of us in North Dakota too.=C2- I flew my Kitfox to all
89 state supported airports in North Dakota in 2015 and got my leather jack
et as a result in the Passport Program sponsored by the state aeronautics c
ommission.=C2- That was a real blast and I learned a lot about my Kitfox
=C2- in the 57 hours and 2638 miles traveled. =C2-=C2-I think I am th
e only one to do that in a home built aircraft with a 2 cycle engine so far
.=C2- I challenge you to do the same! =C2-I have two 582 engines and ha
ve rebuilt both of them so I always have a spare on hand, not that it is ne
eded.=C2- It is probably the most reliable engine I have ever flown behin
d.=C2- Kitfox Tail wheel instructors are pretty scarce so if you find one
, spread the word.=C2- I am happy to offer any advice I can and would be
glad to give a demo flight to anyone.=C2- Young Eagles program is a blast
in the Kitfox, the kids love it!=C2- I recently installed an Appero ESG
ADS-B transponder and I use the Stratux ADS-B dual band receiver.=C2- Wor
ks great!

David.....did you ket your fox redone after your off site landing a few
years ago. Seems you had a engine out on your 912. Where are you
flying now? I am still at C-ville with my model 3.
