To test the functioning of the engine-driven air compressor on an M-14P, I removed the front spark plugs and the line from the output of the snot bottle (CJ-6). Then I put an ordinary party balloon over the snot valve output.
Spinning the prop through several times managed to fill out the balloon but only to about 2" diameter. My assumption is that the the compressor is functioning.
Has anyone else performed this test? If so, what result did they see?
Yes I did the glove over the air compressor test too but I'm not sure how tightly the glove should pull down.
