Thought I'd let you guys know the results of my Chelton display problem. I have one screen that comes up with only the background light on; it never boots up. I disassembled it and reseated all the cables and board connectors, but it won't boot. I then swapped individual boards with the display that works and found that the processor module doesn't work. I disassembled it and reseated the board connectors, but it still doesn't work. I sent an email to Robert Durall from Tim's chelton board, but that email was bad. I'd like to find another module or get this one repaired, but don't want to spend too much on it. I've read that Chelton will work on them but charges a flat fee ($4000 - $4500). I don't know if that's correct, but I'd rather buy a new system from another company than spend that much on obsolete equipment. Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks,
Kevin Belue

Kevin,
Robert is still working for Cheltons and they worked over one of mine a year ago for about 1k.
I included Robert’s last known email address for me in the cc line. They were great about fixing mine. The kicker is the unit has to be shipped back to them from an avionics shop.
Give Robert a shout.
